thank you for your clever and energetic approach.. i will miss your blog. nice to have generous and clever souls such as your self out there helping the meatheads of the internet
I've received a couple of good suggestions, including the possibility of a future blog just about Madness...not specifically about crosswords. Apparently many of you enjoyed hearing the family/work/life stories as much as you enjoyed reading about the puzzles.
In the meantime, feel free to email me...I'll keep the address in the sidebar active.
Now I'm off to solve the Friday puzzle. How decadent is that!
I frequently checked your blog to verify my answers, even though I haven't offer comments in quite some time. I really enjoyed your work and will greatly miss you. I learned a great deal from your observations. Where do I go from here?
Thanks, nytanonimo...I hope to see your comments at some of the blogs in the sidebar.
JD, you were one of my very first commenters...I'll never forget that. Don't know what other blogs you regularly read, but JimH is always entertaining...Ryan and Brian are downright hilarious!
I'm enjoying my new free time. I can't remember the last time I read a book that wasn't for book club...or stitched other than at my stitching group...so I'm looking forward to some of that.
Thank you Linda for your site. I enjoyed your help and insights with the NYT puzzles, and will miss the comments. While I'm new to posting, I wanted you to know that you had many who read, even though few may have commented. Best of luck for your future.
There was a lovely put-down in a P.D. James mystery: so-and-so "was more conspicuous by her presence than her absence". That sure doesn't apply to Linda G!!

Your blog will be missed by your fans, among them myself... however, you may be just the wiser of us all!
Look forward to your continued presence in the crossword world in whatever capacity!
Best of everything!
Thanks for the many words about crosswords. See you around...

This is where I often came when I got stumped. And I even learned where to get a custom handbag.
Good luck!

Dear Linda,
I can totally understand your decision to move on... blogging takes time, especially when it is a good blog.
Best to you!

Welcome to blogtirement! I've got a feeling you're going to enjoy it.
The blog was so much more than the crossword. You will be missed and helped create a new daily habit with the Times.
Best..Cathy
Yugo girl!

You were my first stop every night. Good luck and it was nice "knowing" you.
